10th Film Festival Women's Worlds
from November 18 to 24, 2010 in Tuebingen, Germany

Filmfestival Women’s Worlds has been celebrating! For its 10th anniversary it received numerous international guests, such as Spanish actress and Cannes-winner Lola Dueñas with her latest movie „Yo tambien“. Honour Awards were presented to Mohsen Makhmalbaf from Iran in respresentation of the whole family of film-makers Makhmalbaf, as well as to Golden Bear winner Jasmila Zbanic from Bosnia, who presented her latest film „Na Putu“. From South Africa came the impressive acitivst against child abuse Jackie Branfield.

The Focus on Africa depicted different facets of the continent from the point of view of African women and their struggle for a dignified life. In expectation of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011, also addressed by a TERRE DES FEMMES-campaign, documentaries about sportswomen from Africa, Afghanistan, North Korea and Iran were screened. Among the Feature Films were again many fascinating, touching and thought-provoking films from around the world, awarded at reknown international film festivals.
