My name is Audrey Ledjou and I was born in Ivory Coast. I work as a junior accountant in an enterprise in Berlin. The topic of FGM always interested me because I was working as a girl scout in my childhood. Therefore, I became very conscious of the rights of children and human rights in general.
When I arrived in Berlin, I got to know Sister Fa (Fatou Diatta) and we travelled through Senegal, sang together and were involved in projects which aimed on raising awareness on the consequences of FGM. The programme was called “Education without excision”.
I am very happy to participate as a CHANGE Agent for the coming two years, thanks to my practical experience about it. I am hoping to gain more theoretical knowledge on this topic and to learn more about different approaches to tackle this issue.
