The project coordinator END FGM EU from Brussels, the organisations Médicos del Mundo (MDM) from Madrid, Associazione Italiana Donne per lo Sviluppo (AIDOS) from Rome and TERRE DES FEMMES (TDF) from Berlin met in the office of the fifth partner organization Associação para o Planeamento da Família (APF) in the Portuguese capital. Framework conditions and principles as well as the contents of the project were discussed and adapted.

Students in Berlin, Lisbon, Rome and Madrid will be sensitized for topics such as equality, children’s rights and gender-based violence and informed about their rights. To achieve this, the partners develop modules concerning topics like human and children’s rights, gender-based norms, social power relations, sexual violence, forced and early marriage and female genital mutilation (FGM). These modules can be used as guidelines for the educators implementing the project in school. Additionally, information events as well as preparation meetings with teachers, parents, and political authorities are planned.
