Kaba, Sekou

My name is Sekou Kaba and I am from Guinea, I belong to the ethnic group of the Malinké and I am a Muslim.

So far, I haven´t worked directly on the issue of FGM yet. Still, through my job as interpreter for asylum seekers I had to deal with it and gained a lot of information about FGM. I want to gather more experiences and meet affected people in order to support them to deal with the consequences. And I want to convince other people to not further undertake the harmful practice of FGM. Thus, I am planning to become a CHANGE Agent.

I’m aiming to learn a certain set of communication skills being in contact with affected girls and women, and I want to reach the abandonment of FGM.
