Our guests  Marziyeh Meshkini und Mohsen Makhmalbaf arrived on Friday. The films of this extraordinary family of film directors had accompanied us from the start of the  filmfestival in 2001 (when we screened "The Apple" from daughter Samirah Makhmalbaf).

At the Museum Cinema Marziyeh Meshkini und Mohsen Makhmalbaf will introduce their films.

At a small reception the guests meet the filmfestival and programm-directors of all the Tuebingen filmfestivals:

 During the next day, there is time for sight-seeing. The guests with interpreter Rassem Zamankhan, Irene Jung und Ajkuna Hoppe in the old streets of Tuebingen.

 To shed a light on the present situation of women in Afghanistan, 4 years after having filmed "Kandahar", Mohsen Makhmalbaf asks the guests of the Focus on Afghanistan,  Zakia Haidari und Parvin Doost, to share their experiences with thuman rights of women in their country with the public.
